Another for the Less is More challenge.
This time I used a LOTV wedding stamp and coloured with Promarkers.
I don't normally do "cute" but couldn't resist this stamp!
Thanks

Less is More Week 17
The challenge at Less is More this week is squares.
" You can choose which of the 5 SQUARES from our plan you wish to use to place the image of your card, leaving the rest as PURE WHITE SPACE!"
For my card I made a flower from the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die. I used white pearlised paper from the Paper Mill scrunched it up and then sprayed with a Mica powder and water mix, brushed the edges with Adirondack Stonewashed and put a brad through the centre. Finished with a vellum swirl [hope it doesn't overflow too much!]
Thanks for looking,
Sandra

Less is More Week 16
The challenge at Less is More this week is Butterflies.
Yippee!
A nice easy challenge or so I thought.
I was determined to use the Patchwork butterfly stamp from Chocolate Baroque as it is so gorgeous!
For my first attempt I used Versamark, Black EP and Promarkers, but didn't realise that the pens reacted with the embossing powder! I had black smudges appearing everywhere.
So I stamped and embossed and used some Shimmer paints that were free with a mag recently - much better!
Thanks for looking

Sorry about the shadow , it's quite sunny this evening!

Bah Humbug Challenge 20
The Bah Humbug challenge this week is Kinetic cards or cards that move. Not sure if mine is entirely kinetic, but I've wanted to do a Tri - Shutter card for ages!
I cheated a little bit (shame on me!) by buying the card blank from The Range. Five for £1.99. I couldn't leave them there.
I decorated the card with BP free with a craft magazine (some time ago if the dog eared corners were anything to go by!). The flower is made from Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die.
Not sure whether to add more embellishments to this or not. Quite like it as it is and I might give this card to my Mum and I think she would appreciate it "uncluttered". What do you think?
Thanks for looking

Less is More Week 15
Didn't think I was going to make the challenge at Less is More this week - and I love embossing! Sorry, just really busy this week.
So, a really quick card.
I used a stamp from Chocolate Baroque Wild Meadow set and embossed with Versamark and Copper EP.
I added a bit of Lettuce and Spun Sugar dye inks to give a bit of colour.
Hope to have a bit more time next week, but with the last half term coming up I'll be busy writing reports etc. but will try!

Bah Humbug Week 19
Thought I was going to miss this weeks challenge.
Busy week so far. Spent Saturday at the Malvern Garden Show and then Sunday was the "In the Pink" walk for breast cancer. A beautiful walk along the Brecon canal seeing the ducklings and even a bat! (The 1,000+ walkers must have disturbed his sleep!)
Anyway, eventually made my card for Bah Humbug. A 5" square card, covered in an old gold coloured backing paper. Used a Spellbinders snowflake die, embossed a small snowflake in the centre with copper EP and finished with a copper ribbon.

I have an award!
Thank you Jean for giving me an award - I'm so pleased!!
I am supposed to give it to seven other recently discovered blogs and tell you seven random things about myself.
I am supposed to give it to seven other recently discovered blogs and tell you seven random things about myself.
- I have two sisters and two step-sisters. We don't get together very often, but have a laugh when we do!
- I have been married for 29 years and have two sons 21 and 18 (today!).
- I was quite late starting paper craft - only about 5 years ago, after seeing a display of rubber stamps and ink pads in a local craft shop!
- We used to spend a lot of time buzzing around the countryside on OH motorbike - still got the bike, but I don't go so often!
- When my youngest was in Nursery I was asked to help out whilst a member of staff went to the Doctors - I'm still there 15 years later!
- I'm crafting on a corner of the kitchen table at the moment. Eldest son has just bought his own flat and we're decorating all the bedrooms! Trouble is I keep losing things cos they get mixed up - never mind, my own craft room will be the end result!
- I'm going to be 50 next year (she whispers!)
- Max's Craft Creations
- Anne - Just for Fun - these two ladies we're the first to inspire me have a go at entering challenges.
- Enchanted Occasions
- Simply One of a Kind - these two ladies helped me take the jump into blogland.
- Judith@Poppy Cottage - Truly inspiring!
- Manicstamper - I love this blog! It's like having a natter with your neighbour over a cuppa!
- PEP - such dedication!
Bah Humbug Week 18 Shades of Green
Over at Bah Humbug this week the challenge is
For my card I used a base card that I had ruined previously - but we don't throw anything away do we?
I covered the card with a piece of green card that I had distressed the edges with a pair of scissors and then inked with Lettuce and Expresso Adirondack dye inks.
I then added a topper (surplus to last years requirements) which I had layered from Spellbinders Labels 5 and stamped a poinsettia coloured with Cranberry and Lettuce inks and added a bit of glitter.
Finished with a polka dot ribbon!
Thanks for looking
Sandra
PS I'm having trouble leaving comments on some blogs:(
I can only leave a comment if Name/URL option is available. I'm trying to sort it out!
Recycling or Shades of Green
You may choose one of the options or alternatively you can combine them - whatever you like. We really don't mind. For my card I used a base card that I had ruined previously - but we don't throw anything away do we?

Less is More - Week 14
This weeks challenge at Less is More is "White on White" - no other colours at all!
For my card I embossed Woodware Birdcage stamp with Versamark and white EP. I then highlighted some areas with Cosmic Shimmer White Pearl. I then added a Mariannes Large Bird on Branch die cut.
Very difficult to photograph!

Update!
Followed Chrissie's advice and played around with contrast.
Hope you can see it better now!

St Luke's Charity Cards Challenge
The challenge at St Luke's this month is Pattern - "dots, stripes, zig-zags, paisley, check, argyle - whatever pattern you can imagine".
For my card I have used Pink Petticoat papers that came free with a magazine recently.
I put the stripe layer first, then a small rose print which I had cut out an aperature with Spellbinders Labels 5 and then made a frame with same dies using a larger rose print edged with Adirondack Cranberry. I then added embellishments from a QVC kit from a while ago.
I am hoping to get some gardening done today as it's back to work tomorrow after 2 weeks holiday. I'm a bit behind as these little robin chicks have taken up residence in my shed I use to store all my pots! Don't think they'll be round much longer. Can't believe how fast they've grown.
Bye for now
Sandra
PS Just had a peep and they've flown!
