LIM Sketch

It's week 52 for LIM - CONGRATULATIONS LADIES on your first year!!

"For our challenge this week we have a SKETCH and we have a few basic ground rules.
We would like the card to be
  • rectangular
  • in landscape orientation
  • with the band remaining in a vertical position
As it's a very simple sketch,  we would like it to remain as is without any rotation of either the card or the vertical band."

For my card I have used DI Peeled Paint and Weathered Wood and stippled onto Clarity card using Ink Dusters.  I then used Peeled Paint again to stamp my foliage from Chocolate Baroque Wild Meadow. Used DI Mustard Seed for the spotty flowers - also from Wild Meadow set.  Butterflies are from CB Just Butterflies and greeting is from CB Birthday Words - both stamped with DI Faded Jeans.

Thanks for looking,
Sandra

A is for....................

I'm joining in with the Chocolate Baroque Alpha Tag Challenge.  We are doing 2 or 3 tags each month for the swap, eventually ending with a complete alphabet by the end of the year!

We have to use Chocolate Baroque products or ones sold by them.

This is A is for Angels.

For this tag I embossed with a folder Venus I think it was called, inked with DI China Blue and Scattered Straw, sprayed with gold mica.

Angel picture from Crafty Individuals Merry Christmas Miniatures (sold by CB) stuck to acrylic tag with glossy accents. "Wings" made from shrink plastic and then Swirl stamp from CB Patchwork Butterfly pressed into them to give texture,

Sentiment is computer generated.

Flowers and fibres added.

B is for Butterfly

Background is DI China Blue and Antique Linen tapped onto craft mat, sprayed with water and then tag swiped through to pick up ink. Tag then spayed with more water and mica.

Scrap of card embossed with Brick EF, coloured with DI.

Patchwork Butterfly on acetate, coloured with alcohol inks.

Swirly foliage from Butterfly Flourish stamped with DI with a few gems added.

Looking forward to receiving my swaps!

Less is More 49 - Colour Purple

Week 49 of Less is More and it's a colour challenge.

So onto the first week of the month and a colour challenge
this time we want to see
Predominantly Purple

For my card I stamped I used two stamp sets from Chocolate Baroque - Butterfly Blush, a set of solid  butterfly shapes and Just Butterflies, a corresponding detailed butterfly stamp.
Sentiment also from CB
First I stamped the solid shape with DI Dusty Concord and then spritzed it with water to make the edges blur a little (how much it blurs will depend on cardstock and quantity of water!) I then dried it with the heat gun and stamped over the top with the detailed stamp. Used Cut n Dry foam with Dusty Concord around the edges, matted onto some black cardstock and added some Kanban gems.

(Sorry about the appalling picture - trying to take pictures in the evening and not get a shadow!)

Rainbow Lady Challenge - Travel Through Time to 2012

A new challenge at Rainbow Lady.

"We have travelled in time to reach this point so your topic this week is 'Travel through time to 2012'.  This could include various things including flying, time, travel, steampunk even... you get the picture... just include something to show how we got to this New Year."

For my card  I have used Tim Holtz stamp set and a sentiment from Lily of the Valley.

Just in time for my nephew's 21st!

Stamps - Tim Holtz Air Travel
Inks - Adirondack Espresso, DI Black Soot (embossed with Holographic EP), StazOn

Thanks for looking and Happy New Year
