Less is More Week 56

A great challenge at Less is More this week!

This week we have a simple recipe for you to follow which is to use some of those left over bits and pieces we all tend to keep so this week

Don't Scrap it!

My card is made from a "test" piece!

I recently bought some gilding flakes from Indigoblu (Winter Dawn) and needed to try them out!

Stamp is Carnation Flower Head by Stampingbella

I finished the card by colouring the image with DI Tattered Rose and Tea Dye and adding a ribbon.

Just a little close up of the detail you can get with the flakes.

I keep all my scraps in this "rescued" unit. Each drawer holds a different colour. Would love to alter this unit this summer - ideas on a postcard please!!!

52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown - Angels

Thought I'd best get on with a few Christmas cards so I am joining in with the

"This week, Jacqueline has chosen the theme of Angels for your inspiration."

For my card I used a variety of Distress Inks to create a background, then over stamped with Brilliance and just the wing from a Chocolate Baroque stamp in the Punky Romance set.

Cut out three miniatures from Crafty Individuals Merry Christmas Paper set.
Will add a greeting nearer to Christmas!

Make My Monday - Romance

The theme for February at Make My Monday is Romance

This week we want to see your
HEARTS AND FLOWERS -  both please and if you can manage a die cut or two that would be brilliant.

For my card I have Die cut two heart shapes (x-cut). The first one I have debossed with a little heart folder. I then "coloured" in the hearts with a Versamark pen and used Ranger Antiquities China Red EP. The other heart I stamped a floral pattern from Chocolate Baroque's Texture Fragments and embossed in gold. Distressed around the edges in DI Vintage Photo. Layered onto BP also distressed, added a sentiment from CB and a small die cut flower.

Thanks for looking,
Sandra

Chocolate Baroque Alpha Tag Swap C and D

Well it's the second month of the Chocolate Baroque Alpha Tag Swap.

This is Tag C - Clocks and Cogs

First I stamped the clocks and cogs stamp from Chocolate Baroque Punky Romance in Versamark and embossed with clear powder.
I then used Distress Inks and Stains - Antique Linen, Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans.
I then added a little pocket watch and sentiment stamp from Craft Stamper mag.
For the wings, again from CB Punky romance, I inked my stamp with Versamark and then added DI Faded Jeans over the top, stamped then embossed.

(I know you can emboss DI, but I'm never quick enough!!)

Cut out the centre of the pocket watch and covered the centre of the Wings (there's a cog on the stamp) and attached with ribbon and jump rings. Added Sentiment - Tempus Fugit - Time Flies!

This is Tag D - Dragonflies

For this tag I used DI China Blue, Faded Jeans and Scattered Straw and lots of water!

I used the solid dragonfly stamp from Chocolate Baroque Butterfly Blush and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer ultra thick EP Malachite Fire. I then stamped the matching detail dragonfly from CB Just Butterflies with Versamark and holographic  EP onto vellum and cut out the wings. Added a little gem.

Stamped foliage from CB Wild Meadow in DI Pine Needles and added flowers with Brilliance Platinum Planet.

I received 2 gorgeous tags in the first swap
Asia from Lesley and
Blushing Blooms from Paula
I think it's fair to say we are all enjoying this challenge!

Thanks for looking
See you with E, F and G next month!
