Less is More

Over at Less is More this week the challenge is the colour of your nation!
"This week it's time for another colour challenge and for your delectation this week, we have decided to ask you make a card  using the
COLOURS
of
YOUR NATION'S FLAG!"
Well, I was originally from Worcester, but have lived in Wales for nearly 30 years so I have chosen the Welsh Flag - Red, White and Green.

This card was made using the new Steampunk Christmas stamps from Chocolate Baroque which arrived on my doorstep this morning!  I stamped and embossed in green and coloured the image with Promarkers.

Less is More - Feeling Fruity

This is what is happening over at  Less is More this week!

"Ok, so we have our 'Lucky Dip' week as it's the fifth Saturday of July.
The challenge is
FEELING FRUITY
We would like to see fruit on your cards or fruit colours...easy peasy 'lemon' squeezy!"

I haven't played along for a few weeks and seriously having withdrawal symptoms!
I could only find a tiny card (3" square) and this is the only stamp I could find with any link to fruit - but I tried!
Hope to be back properly soon.

St Luke's

Over at St Luke's this month there is a colour challenge

"Your card can be in any style you like, with any kind of image, but the challenge is to make it with just 3 colours - BLACK, WHITE plus ONE OTHER COLOUR.  You can pick any colour you like for your third colour and shades of both it and grey are acceptable in your card but it should be 3 colours only."

For my card  I have chosen BLUE as my colour.

I used Ranger Alcohol Inks in Denim and Sailboat Blue for the background and blended them together on Silk artboard with the blending solution.
I then stamped Chocolate Baroque Wild Meadow stamps in Versamark and embossed with Opaque White EP.
Tied a ribbon around and then matted onto white and black card and then onto an A5 card base.

Thanks for looking

Just a quickie!

Well, decorating is in full swing!
One bedroom done and the new study area almost finished so we'll be starting on the second bedroom soon. And then we start on bedroom three aka craft room!!
On the work front all reports have been written, all parents consulted and holidays start on Thursday!
Had a few Thank you cards to make and one of the teachers is retiring so made a job lot of these cards using Chocolate Baroque papers, Tim Holtz Caged Bird die, Marrianne Bird on Branch die (minus the bird!) and a few brads and gems.

Hoping to be back in full crafting swing soon!

Less is More Week 18

This weeks challenge at Less is More is MONOCHROME.

Definition:

1. in shades of one color: using or displaying only shades of one color or black and white.
You may choose any colour you wish, but please keep all the shades you use within your chosen spectrum.

For my card I chose Pink - very unlike me!

I masked off an area and sponged DI Spun Sugar, I then stamped Lavinia's Dandelion  stamp with Adirondack Cranberry, added some dark pink glitter and stamped a sentiment from Crafty Individuals.

Check out the Challenge site for some fab entries!

Thanks to Chrissie and Mandi for stretching my crafting outlook!

I have been taking part since week 2 (missed the first week!), and enjoyed everyone of the challenges.  If I'm not around for the next few weeks it's because we are decorating - three bedrooms in one go - how optimistic is that!  But the end result will be my own crafting space, so will be worth it.

Hope to see you soon and thank you for the lovely comments that have been left over the last weeks :)
