Quirky Houses

Hello, I am sharing some more cards I made for Chocolate Baroque.

These feature some more of the wonderful, quirky houses by Kim Moody and Orchard Design a Tree

My first card uses Urban Chic. Such a fun house.

For my backing I used the last piece of my master board that Lesley did as a Facebook live last year. I stamped the house with Versamark and embossed in white. I coloured using water colour inks. I then masked the house and stamped the trees and added foliage.  When it was all dry I removed the mask.

My next card uses the Luv Shack.

I stamped the house with Black Archival ink and used coloured pencils and a blending solution. For the flowers around the arch and across the house I used some flocking powder to give some texture. I added some distant hills using some torn paper and Distress Ink. I added a sentiment from Life is So Much Better.

This card uses the  Bottle and Jug set.

Again, I stamped in black and coloured with pencils which I blended. I stamped and cut out the fence panels a couple of times to extend the front. I then added some colourful bunting.

My last card today uses the Cotswold Stone set.
I kept this very simple by stamping in Brown Archival and using brown and sepia pencils. I stamped the two trees in front of the house and used a peach colour ink for the blossom I finished with some  clouds using a stencil and a sentiment from the Dutch House set

The Orchard Tree

Hello

I am sharing some more of my Chocolate Baroque cards from the May shows on The Craft Store

These cards feature the Orchard Design a Tree stamp set. A very versatile set of stamps.

For my first card I masked off the lower part of my card by tearing a piece of copy paper. This created my snowy landscape. In the upper part of my card I blended different Distress Inks for my sky. I used the darkest shades at the top and on the horizon, a medium shade next to these and finished with my lightest in the centre. I flicked some water over the inked area and blotted with tissue to lift the ink. This made it look like it was snowing. I then stamped the larger of the trees twice in black. I added a little shadow under the trees and a sentiment from Life is So Much Better

In contrast, my next card uses the small stamps from the same set. I used my stamping platform to create the wreath effect. I used different shades of green and pink inks and the flower and foliage stamps. I finished by adding small splatters of pink, green and black ink and a sentiment from Artistic Affirmations

Bookmark Houses

Hello. I'm sharing some of my Chocolate Baroque samples from the May shows on The Craft Store.

These cards feature stamps from the Bookmark range of stamps

Turret House

For this card I used some alcohol inks applied with a felt applicator onto some silk art board. I used shades of blue and purple with some gold.  When it was dry I used my stamping platform to stamp the Turret House in Black Versafine. Whilst the ink was wet I added some embossing powder.  I left the stamp in place on my platform and coloured the turrets in gold paint. The paint covered the embossed areas, so I put the card back into the stamping platform and was able to stamp and emboss again.  I added a sentiment from Life is So Much Better, a layer of gold card and attached to a 8x8 card base.

Italian House

For this card I used two shades of yellow Distress Ink and a Sunshine stencil for my background. I added a little bit of green ink to the bottom of the card. I stamped the larger of the two trees from Design a Tree –Orchard and added flowers in pink ink.

I stamped the house onto some smooth cardstock with Memento ink and coloured with alcohol markers and then cut it out.   I then used some foam pads to fix the house onto the card base.

Bridge House

For this card I used a design paper from a pad that had an old style map on it.

I stamped the Bridge House in the lower corner and embossed the image. I extended the hills and river part of the stamp to fill the base of the card and then coloured with watercolour inks. I added a sentiment from the set.

Dutch House

I used Distress Oxides for my background on this card. I stamped the House in Versafine and then masked it before stamping the tree. I added flowers to the tree in shades of pink and coloured the house with watercolour pencils.
