Another card for Less is More - Seeing Double challenge.

For this card I used the tree stamp from Chocolate Baroque Teeny Weeny Meadow set, stamped it onto my craft sheet, laid my card (upside down) over the top and my tree was a reflection!
Stamped the tree above it to complete the scene.  Inks used are Marvy Heritage Timeless Sepia for tree and ground, DI Antique Linen for more ground and DI Broken China for sky.

Make My Monday - Steampunk

Make My Monday has a new challenge

This is the first Monday in September at that means a brand new theme and challenges. This month they have been chosen by Cath and her theme is STEAMPUNK.
Steampunk is based around the Victorian era and tends to incorporate elements of science fiction and fantasy with futuristic innovations such as fashion, culture, architecture and art.
So that being said your first challenge is to create a STEAMPUNK ATC.

I recently bought the Steampunk Christmas stamp set from Chocolate Baroque, but otherwise I know nothing about this subject and I have never done an ATC!

So I did a little research, scoured through my stamps and came up with this.

Background is Adirondack Slate direct to paper.  Cogs stamp is Chocolate Baroque, Small Timepiece is Tim Holtz, Large Timepiece and Hot Air Balloon free with Craft Stamper  all stamped with DI Black Soot. Stamped a Cog, Timepiece and Balloon on a scrap with Versamark and embossed in silver, cut out and layered.

Thanks for looking, may have another go if I got time!

Metallic

The challenge at Less is More this week is Colour

"...We'd like to see CLEAN & SIMPLE cards with something that has a METALLIC finish to it... ink, embossing, card, charms, actual metal... come on people let's get creative!..."

...and at Rainbow Lady  they want to see Embossing

For my card I have used two stamps from Artylicious Special Day Flourish set.  I first stamped and embossed the heart with Versamark and silver EP, then I masked it and stamped and embossed the flourish.  Mounted onto silver and black card.  stamped the "Love" sentiment and brushed with Perfect Pearls.

Tanda Teaser - Nostalgia

I thought I'd play along with the Tanda Teaser (Nostalgia) today because I've been sorting through my stamps and trying to index them (am I mad!). One of the stamps in my collection was "Art Girl" from Chocolate Baroque.  I had this stamp when Glenda of CB used to do Goody Bags - a fiver or so for a mixed bag of stamps, and it had remained in its bag unstamped. Thought it would be just right for this challenge as it has a  sort of vintage feel to it.

"...For the next Teaser we are looking for projects evoking nostalgia...."

For this card I used Papermania Simply Elegant paper for the background. Used Alcohol Inks - Latte, Expresso and Gold onto a piece of silk art card and then stamped image with Versafine. Covered with Versamark and clear embossed.  Dyed some seam binding with  Marvy Heritage Timeless Sepia, Old England Red and Dark Walnut.

St Luke's Challenge and Papertake Weekly

The challenge this week at St Luke's is a Card Buffet!

"...you have to pick FOUR items from the list of 10 below and include them in your card - not 3, not 5, but just FOUR.  If you want to include a focal image and a sentiment as well, then these can be in addition to the 4 buffet items (but you can also count them as part of your 4 items - ie an embossed sentiment).."

For my card I chose Patterned Paper (Kay & Co), Embossing (around the Die Cut), Ribbon and Flowers.

I am also entering the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is a sketch.
