Less is More Week 11 - Acetate and updated!

See end of post for update!

Hi All

Over at Less is More this week we are challenged to use Acetate.  Not something I've used a lot of!
For my card I stamped Hobby Art Trees with Stazon on the front of the acetate and then splodged (technical term!) alcohol inks - red pepper and lettuce on the reverse. I stuck the acetate to the card with stiki glue pen gluing behind the trees - thanks for the tip Mandi, I think finding a way to adhere acetate is what has put me off in the past.

Thanks for looking

Sandra

Update

Followed Chrissie's advice and put a frame around the image.Much easier to hide glue and it sets off the picture!

Great card - I love playing with alcohol inks but don't get chance often enough - maybe for this challenge

Simply gorgeous. I love how you inked up the background. Very rough, but fitting for those trees. Great, great card!!

This is really effective Sandra... just love that splodging!
Another way of attaching acetate is to frame it and then attach the frame to the card.. I think that this might have worked on your card but you can't see your glue on this, so well done!
Super card!

This is beautiful! If you have a Xyron machine, you can attach acetate with the Xyron adhesive and it doesn't show through. Before I take off the backing paper I rub over it well with my bone folder and it smooths it out so that it's invisible.

Love the splodging technique & those trees. So effective. I'm hopeless at CAS; especially one layer cardds - it takes me longer to do one of those than my normal efforts.

Your card is fabulous. I liked the first shot but I love the second with the frame. Makes it look more finished.
