New Stamps from Chocolate Baroque = Gerbera and Friends

 Hello

I'm showing a couple of cards made for the October Show on Hochanda.
These were made with new stamps Gerbera and Friends designed by Lesley and David's granddaughter, aren't they amazing!

For my first card  I made a background using Distress Inks and some torn paper to get hills in the distance. I then stamped the two Dandelion stamps and the extra seeds in VersaMark and embossed in white . I then added stamps from Silhouette Grasses and Wisteria Lane around the base and top. I stamped these in Onyx Versafine.

My second card uses the gorgeous Gerbera. This is a lovely big stamp, 4" in diameter and with great shading. I stamped with Memento ink and coloured with alcohol markers. The background is Brusho splashes and the splatter stamp that comes with the set. The Dragonfly is from the Life is Wonderful stamp set and I shall be sharing more from that next time.

 Thanks for looking

Vintage Blueprints

Hello

Today I am showing some of my cards from the One Day Special on Hochanda  from September.

These are the second set in the Blueprint series and they are fabulous with so many images, quotes and sentiments to choose from.

There are 4 in the set - Allium BlueprintChrysanthemum BlueprintLupin Blueprint and Echinacea Blueprint.

I made this set of cards from the main stamp image of each set.

First I took some old paper from my stash, some were gardening related and some were architecture.

I then covered each page with white gesso to give me a good base to stamp on. I added some Distress Inks to the background and spritzed with water in places.

I then stamped my main image in Archival Ink and coloured with water colour pencils. I added some background stamping using Make Your Mark stamp set.

I finished by adding the flower names, a number tag and a sentiment. These were then mat and layered onto some coordinating papers.

I'm sure you agree that these are wonderfully detailed stamps and suitable for many different occasions.

Thanks for looking

Baroque Meadow

Hello

I hope you are well.

Today I am sharing some of my cards from the Hochanda show in June.

The  stamps I used were Baroque Meadow, a lovely silhouette stamp and Words of Inspiration which has some lovely sentiments. There are 4 sets in the "Words of..." range and you can see them here.

My first card is simply stamped in Archival and a stencil has been used in the background. Distress inks are used around the edge to frame the image.

My second card uses the same meadow stamp with a different sentiment from the Words of Inspiration set. This time my background is done with alcohol inks on some satin card. I chose some pastel colours to give a summer feel to the card.

For my final card today I coloured the stamp with water based marker pens, I then spritzed the stamp with water before stamping.  This gives a lovely water colour effect.

Hope you enjoyed looking at these and I have a couple more to share with you soon.

Happy New Year!

Hello all
Hope you had a lovely Christmas and new year.

Lots of things going on for me this year....

Chocolate Baroque are releasing some fabulous stamps this Saturday and Sunday on Hochanda, really enjoyed making samples with these.

I have rejoined the Make One Christmas Card a Week Face Book group. I really missed it when they stopped last year so hopefully I will be back on track.

Tando have just started a 366 prompt a day challenge . I'm sitting patiently waiting for my kit to arrive.

So lots to keep me busy
What are you up to?
